Maria Augusta DaSilva, 87, of Williamsburg, passed away on July 16, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aurelio DaSilva, and her parents, Augusto and Maria DaRocha.

Maria was born in Portugal and moved to America over 40 years ago with her husband and daughter. They lived in New York for almost 30 years before moving to Williamsburg in 1997. Maria lived for her family. She did very beautiful crochet work, and enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas and Easter. She also loved people, and people loved her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Vina DaSilva.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd., with interment following in Williamsburg Memorial Park.
