All of us have a desire to make a difference in this world. This is true with children as well. Few have been as successful as our son, Mark.
The Guest Book is expired.
In his brief twelve years, the little boy with the light brown hair, big brown eyes and the sweetest voice in the world charmed all who knew him.
God gives children with cancer something extra. Mark used his extra to bring joy and happiness to everyone he met. Mark was a mixture of charisma, creativity, charm, toughness and swagger. We loved him from the day he was born.
We know that Mark is with God now and he will be forever joyful. For us, Mark will be forever unforgettable.
Mark is survived by his parents, Scott and Sharon Salsman; brothers Paul and John; grandmother, Margaret Salsman; and a large extended family. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Loyce and John Adkerson, and paternal grandfather Robert Salsman.
The visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. this Friday, April 26, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27 at James River Baptist Church, 4931 Centerville Rd, Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to James River Baptist Church to build an outdoor pavilion where kids can play, and our church and community can fellowship together. Online condolences may be expressed at www.nelsencares.com and www.vagazette.com
