Rhonda Lemika Lassiter Obituary
WILLIAMSBURG - Rhonda Lemika "RoRo" Lassiter was born on November 2, 1972, in Williamsburg, VA. Rhonda was the youngest daughter of Geraldine Sears and Ronald L. Lassiter, Sr. Rhonda spent her early childhood attending St. John Baptist Church. As she got older, she attended Union Prospect Baptist Church, King & Queen, VA. She had a career in the Food and Beverage Industry. Rhonda was an assistant kitchen manager at Applebee's and from there she went on to be a Production Manager at Henrico County Sheriff's Department. Rhonda's hobbies included watching football, fishing, music, and she was a diehard Dallas Cowboys Fan. She graduated from Lafayette High School and served in the United States Coast Guard. Rhonda leaves to cherish her love and memories, her partner and soul mate, Loretha A. Green; her daughter, Dominique N. Green; her two sons, Jordan K. Lassiter and Jahlil L. Green; her parents, Ronald L. Lassiter, Sr. (Francine Lassiter) and Geraldine Sears (Charles Payne); five brothers, Ronald Lassiter, Jr., Troy Scott, Seneca Lassiter (Esperanza Lassiter), Carlos Lassiter, and Rondell Lassiter; two sisters, Missy Hamilton (Wayne Hill), and Sherita Hamilton (Tracey Cross); mother and father-in-law, Authur D. Wise and Daisy M. Green; her nephew/Godson, that she was helping to raise, Yaden Princeton Smith; her Goddaughter, Aniya Roane; two Godsons, Antonio and Aaron Roane; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; her sisterhood, the Ya-Yas, Loretha Green, Patrice Irby-Mabry, Michelle Lindsey, Lavonne Harston, and Katina Marsh; and a very special cousin, who played a large role in her care, Toyka "Yo-Yo" Canady. A memorial service, celebrating her life, will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2014, in St. John Baptist Church, 1397 Penniman Road, with the Rev. Arthur K. Roane officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home by 12:00 noon on Friday. Ms. Green may be viewed in the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
