WILLIAMSBURG - Jane Allred Talley, of Williamsburg, VA, passed away on March 15, 2014. She was born on March 28, 1936 in Bessemer, AL. She attended Peabody College in Nashville TN. Jane was a longtime member of Walnut Hills Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Women on Mission group, as well as Covington Baptist Church. She also was a member of the "Magnolias" women's group, as well as the Garden Club, in Covington, VA. Jane loved her family, taking pictures, umbrellas, "pocket books," baking, birthday parties and sending out cards for any occasion and every holiday. Her favorite hymn was "Because He Lives." Jane better known as "Lady Jane" to her family and friends is preceded in death by her father, Oliver Allred, Sr., mother, Etoile C. Allred, and sister, Julia A. Collins. She leaves cherished memories to her husband of 57 years, George M. Talley of Williamsburg, Va.; two sons, George M. Talley, Jr., wife, Sharon and daughter, Megan, and Thomas C. Talley, wife, Kathy, son, Dylan and daughter Madison. She also leaves one brother, Oliver Allred, Jr. of Albuquerque, NM. Services were held Monday March 17, 2017 at 2 pm at Walnut Hills Baptist Church. 1014 Jamestown Rd. Williamsburg, Va. 23185 In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lottie Moon and/or Annie Armstrong Missionary programs at Walnut Hills Baptist Church.
