Thomas Jerry Millirons

WILLIAMSBURG - Thomas Jerry Millirons (Tommy), 50, of Williamsburg died April 22, 2015. He was born to the late Lenora and Clyde Millirons, April 29, 1964, in York County, VA. Tommy attended Bruton High School and worked most of his life as a waterman. He is preceded in death by his mother Lenora, his father Clyde, and his uncle Dennis. He is survived by his brother Ronnie, his half-brother Steve Young, his daughter Tiffany and her fiancé Sean Wales, his grandson Landon Wales, his uncle Larry, and cousins Roger and Maxine Millirons. Tommy was a friend to many, and touched the hearts and lives of the community who loved him. We called him brother and friend. Tommy was known as a hard worker, no matter the task, and he took great pride in his work. He was known for his love of animals. He enjoyed feeding the horses and the freedom of riding his bike along the trails of Williamsburg. Tommy loved and appreciated all who helped him and others living through homelessness. He wrestled deeply with alcoholism, and through his faith and determination he experienced long periods of sobriety this past year. He was proud of his baptism a year ago at Williamsburg Christian Church, and was quick to share his Christian faith with others. Tommy had an open heart and generous spirit. We are better people for having known him. In lieu of flowers we would ask that memorial gifts be made in Tommy's name to the St. Bede Outreach Center or the 3E Restoration Process. We would like to thank Nelson Funeral Home for their gracious support and assistance. Following a funeral at Williamsburg Christian Church, Tommy was laid to rest at St. Bede Catholic Church.
