Marjorie Ruth Hutchins, 80, of Williamsburg, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012. Marjorie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, born on March 28, 1932 in Portege le Prairie, Manetoba, Canada. She was known for being a woman with a big heart and a strong will for life. Marjorie was an avid bingo player and enjoyed traveling. She was simply an amazing woman.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Merrill; her sons, Joseph Hutchins (Mihee) and Merrill W. Hutchins II; her daughters, Ruth Barbara Riley and Edwina Dawn Turner (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Shirley Adkins, James Hutchins, Ian Nickerson, Krystle Hutchins, Natasha Hutchins, Tomoko Hutchins, Bobby Gill, Tiffanee Gill, Brian Riley, Ricky Riley, Kaitlyn Turner, Kenneth and Austin Turner; her sisters, Shirley Thayer and Eleanor Garley; her brother, Jack Johnston; her sisters-in-law, Ruth Bombardier and Lucy Hutchins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11 from 6 – 8 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
