Donald "Don" Criner, 80, a lifelong resident of Williamsburg, passed away on January 4, 2013. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Edward Criner, and his five siblings.

He will be missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty Criner; daughter, Debbie Criner; and granddaughter, Lauren Stokes.
Don served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a proud recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. He retired after 22 years of service. He then worked for York County Animal Control, retiring after 20 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He was also a member of the Oak Tree Hunting Club and was an avid Virginia Tech fan. He was also quite the jokester.
A graveside service will take place at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 9 at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg.
