Elisabeth Hack Sheetz, 88, of Lanexa, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, after a long illness. Elisabeth was part of "The Knitting Guild," which makes clothing and hats for newborn babies, the homeless, and cancer patients, as well as articles shipped overseas to soldiers. She was a devoted member of the King of Glory Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.

Elisabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Richard Franklin Sheetz, and her sister, Inge. She is survived by her son, Bernie Sheetz; four daughters, Pattie Wiggins (Mike), Barbara Proctor (Randy), Rita Sheetz and Diane Sanderlin (Floyd); seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 4897 Longhill Rd., Williamsburg VA 23188. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge VA 23140.
