SAN BENITO, TX. - Manuel Aguilar, 76, passed away Friday, June 13, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He was a native and life long resident of San Benito, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his wife Serveriana T. Aguilar; 1St Child Jose Luis Aguilar.
Mr. Aguilar is survived by his children, Sons, Jose Luis (Josie) Aguilar, Ernesto Aguilar, Richard Aguilar and Manuel Aguilar Jr.; 2 Daughters Anna Maria (Sam) Gomez and Linda Aguilar; Long time companion Jovita Aguilar; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ascencion (Linda) Aguilar and Antonio (Arcelia) Aguilar; 6 sisters, Maria Magdalena Noyola, Aurora (Ignacio) Rodriguez, Olivia (Justo) Puente, Luisa (Lupe) Ramos, Oralia (Joe) Hernandez and Antonia (Enrique) Armenda.
Visitation will be held today, June 15, 2008 from 12 Noon to 9 PM with a rosary to be recited at 6 PM at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Chapel service will be held 2 PM. on Monday, June 16, 2008 at Thomae Garza funeral Home chapel.
Committal service will follow to San Benito City Cemetery in San Benito, Texas with Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post # 205.
