Barbara Williams Obituary

Barbara
Martin Williams
HARLINGEN, TX. -
Barbara Martin Williams, 67, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 with her devoted husband by her side into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
Barbara was born on December 30, 1947 in Logansport, IN to John R. and Gail Patty Martin. She was a 1966 graduate of Logansport High School and an employee of Small Parts/MPI Corp. for 45 years. She was a resident of Logansport until 2010 when she and her husband retired to Harlingen, TX.
Barbara was known for her caring heart and enjoyed nothing more then helping others while being in service to the Lord whether it be on a mission trip to Haiti or her weekly children's stories at church. While living in Indiana she was a member at the Baptist Temple in Logansport and Burnettsville First Baptist, transferring her membership to First Christian Church of Harlingen when moving south.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Michael L. Williams, Harlingen, TX and her family in Indiana including children: Meghan Williams, Kelly (Scott) Beck, Tim (Amy) Williams; grandchildren: Alex (Darcy) Beck, Joshua Beck, Carly (Oliver) Vickers, Gabe Williams, Kris Beck, Teddy Beck and Isaac Williams; great-grand-chil-dren: Mason and Madeline Beck. Sister: Patricia (Patrick) Martin-Brown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life and home going will be held Sunday, July 19th at 2 pm at First Christian Church of Harlingen with Minister Mark Coppins presiding and burial immediately following at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Barbara's name to Real Hope for Haiti at: RHFH, 15215 Endeavor Drive, Noblesville, IN 46060.

Barb was the most loving person I have met. She embodied what it means to be a light for Christ. I miss her. My heart hurts for those who love her including all of the MPI family, but especially for Mike, Meghan and the rest of Barb's family. You are all in my prayers. You have my deepest condolences.

The news of Barb going to be with the Lord brought a somber silence to many in the MPI organization. I knew Barb for 35 years and got to work closely with her in Reynosa Mexico. Barb was a wonderful resource for sound guidance, and godly advice. She taught me several things that I used throughout my entire life. One was that when the time you spend with your kids its precious, she said you're making memories. When I look back on all of her accomplishments at Small Parts it's amazing what she was able to do with the limited resources and funding we had at the time. Barb was very dedicated and possessed the rare skill of being both stern and understanding when the situation called for it. Barb understood her call from God and served with that focus in mind. I appreciate the time I got to spend with her and am sure I'll be able to reflect back on her demeanor and guidance in the future.

I worked with Barb in Logansport for "only" about 10 years. She was a wonderful co-worker. She was classy, intelligent, and a first class businesswoman. She was always helpful and courteous to every person she met. I am very sorry to learn of her passing, but congratulate anyone who was fortunate enough bump into her in our journey through this life. Well done.... a good and faithful servant.
