Obituary Condolences

Anastacio ``Tacho' Garza, Jr., 70, entered the Lord's kingdom on July 2, 2012.
Tacho was born to Anastacio Sr. and Maria Garza on August 5, 1941 and was a lifetime resident of Las Yescas.
Tacho was a proud Bobcat who graduated from Rio Hondo High School in 1959. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed talking with friends and family. Being the social person he was, he always left with a new friend; never did he meet a stranger.
As a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be forever loved and greatly missed by all whose heart he touched.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Roberto Ruben Garza, and great-grandson Wyatt Allen.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia Garza, daughters: Norma Alfaro (Eduardo, Jr.) and Veronica Vasquez (Enrique); sons: Anastacio R. ``Tiger' Garza, III (Connie) and Alan R. Garza (Erica); brothers: Gilberto, Ernesto and sister Ernestina; extended daughter-in-law Carlene. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren who were the loves of his life: Matthew, Jenna, Virginia-Ann, Nicolas, Alainie, Gabriel, Carlie, Lillian, and Avery; and great-granddaughter Hailey, along with numerous relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held 9:00 am-9:00 pm Thursday, July 5, 2012 in the Rudy Garza Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial 2:00pm Friday, July 6, 2012 St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria.
Honored to serve as pallbearers: Anastacio R. Garza III, Alan Garza, Matthew Garza, Nicolas Alfaro, Edward Alfaro, and Xavier Garza.
Honorary pallbearers: Johnny Cabrera and David Gonzalez.
