Hilario Z. Ybarra
Hilario Z. Ybarra, 86, born February 1927 in Mercedes, Texas, entered into eternal rest on March 14, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Hilario was a World War II veteran and worked for 30 years with the BISD as a teacher at Faulk Middle School from 1964-1973 and Homer Hanna High School from 1974 to 1994. He had a life-long passion and joy for farming and ranching. He was a 4-H Youth Leader and supporter of the Future Farmers of America.
Hilario was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Luisa Amaya, his father, Juan Ybarra, his mother, Maria Ybarra, his brothers: Lazaro, Felix, and Juan, and his sisters: Angela, Inocencia, Leonor, and Pilar.
Hilario is survived by his children: Hilario (Gloria) Ybarra, Juan (Irene) Ybarra, Carmen (Daniel) Moya, Ana Ybarra, Gracie (Randy) Davidson, Toni Ybarra-Lopez, Judith Ybarra, and Carlos (Valerie) Ybarra. Hilario is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. and continue through 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the holy rosary scheduled for 7 p.m. today, Sunday, March 17, 2013, in the East Chapel at Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2013, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2255 Southmost Road.
Committal services will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. The VFW Funeral Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the graveside.
Robert Davidson, Frank Lopez, Gregory Jordan, Silvano Amaya, Juan Vigil, and Enrique Martinez are honored to be serving as Hilario's pallbearers.
Special thanks to Superior Hospice for all the compassion they gave our father, and with special consideration to his nurse, Sandra Martinez. Special thanks to Dr. Juan M. Garcia, Doris Martinez, and all the staff of Family Care Specialist.
