HARLINGEN, TX. -
Willie Evalin Rumfield entered into the presence of the Lord on August 7th 2014. She was born on June 20, 1929 in Anson, Texas to Ruben Osias Rumfield and Lola Lee Ray.
She is preceded in death by both her parents; brother Bynum Rumfield; sister Billie McGrew; nephew Mikey McGrew; and nephew Vance Rumfield.
Evalin lived with her best friend and sister, Ann Rumfield most all of her life. Forming a great partnership in business and becoming strong patriarchs for her family. Evalin was a woman hungry for the things of God and her highest goal was to make sure her family knew Him as well. You knew that every conversation you had with her would always include a testament of the mercy and grace of her Lord Jesus Christ. Her dream was accomplished as her parents, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces have all come to know their Savior.
Her perseverance in Him also lead her family to starting a church in Harlingen called, Northway Bible Church, where the word of God has been proclaimed for over 30 years.
Evalin was a precious aunt, loving sister, and faithful daughter.
Graveside services will be held at Ashland Cemetery, on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home, Harlingen, Texas.
