Jose Angel Loya III|
SAN BENITO/ LOS INDIOS, TX.- Jose Angel Loya III, 46, of Los Indios passed away on April 4, 2010 peacefully after a long, brave and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born August 12, 1963 in San Benito, TX and is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years; Sylvia Escamilla Loya of Los Indios; a daughter, Lori Ann (Luis) Berumen of Brownsville; a granddaughter, Samantha Jo Berumen; his father Jose Angel (Lupita) Loya Jr. of Los Indios; his brothers, Marco Antonio (Ana) Loya of Harlingen, Robert Luis (Lupina) Loya of Rio Hondo; Juan Benjamin Loya of Houston; his sisters Edna Loya of Harlingen; Dina (Joel) Rodriguez of San Benito and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Guadalupe (Lupita) Garcia Loya and his brothers Jaime Patricio and Dagoberto Loya.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Marco Antonio Loya, Robert Luis Loya, Edna Loya, Dina Rodriguez, Joel Rodriguez and Danny Nunez.
Joe was a 1982 San Benito High School graduate. He worked for the Harlingen CISD as a maintenance employee. On his personal time, Joe loved to build bbq pits and picnic tables and barbecue every weekend with his family.Many thanks to all the medical teams who cared for Joe during his battle with cancer.
A Rosary will be held Monday night at 7:00 PM, at Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Mass is tentatively scheduled at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Las Rusias.
Interment will follow at Las Rusias Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home.
