Just prior to his death, Bill and Lois spent an active and pleasant summer at the family cottage on the shore of his beloved Lake Superior, near his hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He and his wife, Lois were traveling back to their permanent home in Harlingen, Texas, and had stopped briefly to visit with family when the illness struck. He was cared for by outstanding medical professionals at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN.
Bill leaves a legacy as a devoted husband, loving and patient father and grandfather, and brilliant medical diagnostician.
