HARLINGEN, TX. -
Raymond Munoz, Jr., passed away Saturday morning, August 10, 2013 at his residence in Harlingen.
He was a lifetime resident of Harlingen and owner of Raymond's Home Improvement. He was a very active member of the Harlingen business community, past President of the Harlingen Jaycees, member of the Kiwanis, and a supporter and volunteer for many other organizations.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Munoz, Sr., and mother, Bobbie Munoz.
Raymond is survived by his former wife, Belinda of Harlingen; daughter, Kimberly (Carlos) Tijerina of San Antonio; son, Raymond Munoz III of Harlingen; granddaughter, Sophia Grace Tijerina; brothers, Mario Munoz and Rene (Christine) Munoz of Angleton, sisters, Gloria (Phil) Morales of San Antonio, and Patsy (Ken) Brooks of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Special thanks to Carrie Castillo for her loving presence and encouragement and to Hector Cantu, Jr., for his dedicated support during Raymond's illness.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2013 from 5 pm-9 pm with a holy rosary to be prayed at 7pm at Trinity Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 10 am at Trinity Funeral Chapel.
Immediately following the funeral service a caravan will proceed to Chuck's Ice House to conclude funeral services.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Wayne Newcomer, John Graves, Chuck Law, Hector Cantu Jr., Raymond Munoz III, and Phil Morales.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rene Munoz, Mario Munoz, Pat Liston, Ken Brooks, and Carlos Tijerina.
