HARLINGEN, TX. -
Norma Jo Isenhower, 88, passed away at her home in Harlingen, Texas Monday, February 24, 2014. She was born on August 7, 1925 in Jasper, MO to Nell M. "Neeley" and Joe P. Hardenbrook. She was married to the late Jay W. Isenhower, a World War II Veteran for 58 years.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Annette Earl.
Norma Jo is survived by her children, John J. Isenhower of San Antonio, and Nancy (Bob) Smith of Festus, MO; 3 grandchildren, Jason (Emily) Smith of Mason, OH; Ashleigh (Corey) Nagel of Arnold, MO; and Malcolm Isenhower of Chicago, IL; 5 great grandchildren, Jack, Benjamin, and Samuel Smith, Carson, and Evelyn Nagel; sister, Nancy Woodward of Lamar, MO; sister-in-law, Carolyn Isenhower of Fontana, Kansas; and 2 nieces and 6 nephews.
A graveside service will be held at a later date and will be officiated by her grandson, Pastor Jason Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial donations in Norma "Jo's" name to Mason Vineyard Community Church P.O. Box 40 Mason, Ohio 45040.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home 1002 East Harrison Avenue Harlingen.
