HARLINGEN, TX. -
Feliciano (Felix) G. Araiza, Sr. 72, of Harlingen entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 5, 2014. He was born on December 26, 1941 in Harlingen, TX to Jose Angel and Emeteria Araiza.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Felix is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lupita Araiza; 4 children; Felix (Olivia) Araiza, Jr., Marisol Araiza, Criselda "Crissy" (Leroy) Reyes, Carlos (Renetta) Araiza; 13 grandchildren; Felicia, Larissa, Brisa, Eliana, Elijah, Sabrina, D.J. Brianna, Sky, Jennifer, Makayla, Lluvia, Marina, Sierra, Azaria, Ezra, Serenity, Dashawn; 5 brothers and sisters; Jose Angel Araiza, Jr., Mary Jane (Andy) Torres, Clara (†Fidel) Balderas, Maria G.(Richard) Gonzalez, Flora Wilburn and numerous nieces and nephews. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Felix retired from Frito Lay Co. after 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion and The Knights of Columbus. Felix loved to play to golf and loved to spend time with family and grandkids.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 beginning at 1 to 9PM and a holy rosary will be at 7PM.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 8, 2014 with a chapel service to held at 1PM with Deacon Valenzuela officiating and interment will follow at Ashland Cemetery Circle of Honor under the auspices of the American Legion Post #2410.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rudy Garza Funeral Home in Harlingen.
