Sayoko McPherson Obituary

Sayoko
(Kay) McPherson
HARLINGEN, TX. -
Kay McPherson passed away October 3, 2014 after an extended illness.
Kay was born in Tokyo, Japan, August 26, 1931. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Home Economics. Kay married Robert E. (Mac) McPherson on October 11, 1961 in Tokyo while Mac was serving in the US Air Force.
After returning to the States, Kay worked 25 years at Ferguson Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Kay and Mac enjoyed their houseboat on the Muskegon River with their many friends.
Kay and Mac led an active life golfing, bowling, boating, and RVing. Kay loved her pets, her flowers, and playing bingo. Her constant smile and personality warned every heart. Mac and Kay began visiting the Rio Grande Valley in 1988 in their Motor Home. They moved to Harlingen, Sunshine Country Club Estates in 1993, where they have been ever since.
A special thanks goes to Norma and Lucy at the Victoria House for the loving care they gave Kay & Mac.
Kay will be interred in the McPherson family plot in Lambertville, Michigan.
