1924-2015
Eleanor Wood, of Sunshine Country Club Estates, Harlingen, peacefully passed on March 16, 2015.
She was preceded in death by parents Henry and Mabel Schinkel, sister Evelyn Schinkel, half-brother Leo Brock, husbands, Wayne Elinger, Robert Stearns, and Del Maier.
She is survived by her husband Bennie Wood, daughter Sharon (Dave) Marble, son Warren (Roxanne) Elinger, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, numerous step-children and their families.
She moved to the Valley from Minnesota in 1981, enjoying bridge, sewing, golf, square dancing, Padre Island, and her friends. She was a talented artist.
Celebration of her life will be held at Retzlaff Hall, Sunshine Country Club Estates, Friday, March 20 at 1 pm, followed by a reception.
Internment will be in Minneapolis, MN. Memorials to Sunshine Country Club Estates, or the charity of your choice.
