Edward Phillip (Ted) Kravac

Aug 2, 1933 - Mar 2, 2013

Ted passed peacefully at North Shore Hospice after a prolonged battle with Lewy Body Dementia/Parkinson's and Leukemia. Throughout his brave fight he never lost his sense of humour or will to live. He is survived by his wife Grace of 53 years, sons Steven, Michael and Brian (Christine), grandchildren Caden, Sarah and Ben and his nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister Pat and cousin Diane (David) in New Zealand, and predeceased by his brothers Bill (RCAF 1942), and 5 days earlier by Nick (Gloria) as well as his sister Tilley. Ted treasured his family and lived life with vigor. He loved to travel and had a gift of befriending new acquaintances immediately. Ted's career was spent in the automotive trade culminating in the ownership of his own business, Humphrey Automotive in Burnaby. Special thanks to Dr. Jennifer Walker and the entire staff of North Shore Hospice for their care and support. Donations to the North Shore Hospice or the charity of your choice in Ted's name would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. A celebration of Ted's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, at the Vancouver Golf Club, 771 Austin Ave. Coquitlam, B.C. All family and friends are encouraged to share any stories or memories they may have at this event.
