Gerald A. Pinsent

Dr. Gerald A. Pinsent . Gerry, born in Edmonton, Alberta on April 5th, 1917, passed away peacefully on October 14th, 2013 in North Vancouver, BC. He is survived by his two daughters, Pat (Dave) and Joan (Mike); his grandchildren, Jody (Mike), Jeff, Michelle (Noah), Brant; and his second wife (ex), Shirley and the Legate family. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elsie and sister, Sybil Turner. Gerry spent his formative years in Edmonton, met Elsie, and they were married in Victoria where he was stationed with the RCAF. After the war, they returned to Edmonton and he completed his Dentistry Degree at the University of Alberta in 1950. He and his family then moved to North Vancouver where he had a family Dental Practice for 35 years. In later years Gerry married Shirley and retired to Bowen Island. Gerry's interests included curling, fishing, woodworking and his Boston Terriers. Above all, he was a kind and caring husband, father, and grandfather. A true gentleman, Gerry was respected by his friends, family, colleagues and patients.The family is grateful for the caring support provided to Gerry by the staff at Sunrise of Lynn Valley.
