Rita Marie Conway

Rita Marie Conway (nee Welsh and Walker) Suddenly and peacefully Rita slipped away on April 16, 2014. Rita was born in Regina Saskatchewan and lived in both Calgary and Vancouver, and finally a long time resident of Tsawwassen BC. Rita was 84. Rita is predeceased by her devoted husband Jack Conway, her parents and her brother. She will lovingly be remembered and missed by her children, Bob Walker (Brenda) , Elizabeth Lang (Nelson) and grandchildren Tessa, Kirsten and Alexandra Lang, as well as Step-daughter Jacqueline Pile(Ken) and step-grandchildren, Daniel and Caroline Pile, as well as her many good friends. Rita trained at SAIT as a dental assistant and formerly as a medical records recorder. She was a model from 1962-1965. She conceived a Tooth Fairy concept for preventative dental hygiene for Kindergarten students. She had a lifelong interest in medicine, travel and books. She was an active in the Junior League in Vancouver and Calgary. A celebration of life will be held for Rita on May 1, 2014 between 1 and 4 o'clock, at Beach Grove Golf Course, Tsawwassen, BC. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Delta Community Animal Hospital Shelter.
