April 1964 - June 2013
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Robert at Delta Hospital Wednesday, June 26th, 2013.
Robert is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kim and daughter, Emily; mother Dorothy, beloved twelve brothers and sisters: Pat, Tom, Tim, Sharon, Jim, Murray, Reenie, Mike, Jenny, Gerry, Randy, Paul and their spouses. He also left twenty nieces and nephews and five grand nieces and grand nephews.
Robert grew up in Richmond B.C. where he graduated from Richmond High School. He was a star in the drama department and is remembered by many as the "funniest guy I know".
Robert had a career for many years in the Security industry, rising to Central Station Manager. Robert made a change and retrained as a barber. He loved working on this side of the tunnel. He spent his last fifteen months very happily working at Tsawwassen Barbers, where he fit right in and could talk politics, sports, or current affairs - and give a great haircut!
Robert will be remembered by all who knew him for his extraordinary sense of humor and his gift of entertaining children. He was a loving and dedicated father to Emily, embracing this role with commitment and vigor.
Many thanks to all the physicians that tended Robert and to the kind and compassionate nurses at Delta Hospital.
A Celebration of Robert's life will be held on Saturday, July 6th, at 1:30 pm at Cedar Park Mennonite Church, 5300 - 44 Avenue Delta, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Delta Hospital Foundation or BC Cancer Agency would be greatly appreciated.
