CLAUS, Ingeborg August 12, 1922 - April 29, 2014 . Born in Falkenberg, Germany, Inge was peacefully called to her Lord, age 91. Inge is predeceased by her husband Werner, sister Annemarie, brother Carl and survived by daughter Elke, son Berni (Kelly), grandsons Jethro and Kulan, great-grandson Kolby and extended family including Inge Erler, Martin (Sabine), Christine (Johannes), Bruno (Brenda and Joshua), Jennifer, Ian and Chris. Loving mathematics, Inge studied civil engineering in Berlin, where she met Werner. After marrying in 1951 they immigrated to Canada, settling in West Vancouver in 1955. Here, Inge raised a family and worked alongside her husband as one of the first female Professional Engineers in B.C. After a number of years, Inge felt called by her Lord to change careers. Consequently she studied social work and spent many years working and volunteering with the elderly. In retirement, Inge's passion to serve the Lord continued, as reflected in her artwork, quilting and especially in her memoirs and published poetry books she loved to share with others. Our family extends a deep appreciation to the nurses, cleaners, doctors, and staff at LGH, and to Dr. Conly, whose knowledge, compassion and benevolence blesses our family. Inge's passion for life, love for learning and personal relationship with Jesus Christ was an inspiration for many. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 10, 2014 at 2:00pm, at St. Andrew's & St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, 2641 Chesterfield Avenue, North Vancouver, B.C.
