On February 16, 2013, at the age of 84, Maria went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She died at Evergreen House (at Lions Gate Hospital) from pneumonia and complications of various health problems including sarcoma. She is loved and missed by family and friends. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, February 23 at 2 pm at Johnston Heights Church, 9612 152nd Street in Surrey, BC.
