BARTLEY- Stuart John LL.B, FCSI Stuart John Bartley, LL.B, FCSI, who enjoyed and celebrated a fulfilled life, passed away on February 23rd, 2014. Born in Pembroke, Ontario on January 23rd, 1959. Predeceased by his father Captain Clayton Russell Bartley. Stuart is survived by his mother Mary Bartley, sister Patricia (Trish) Bartley, nephew Jesse Cockney, niece Marika Cockney, and many cousins and friends. His family settled in N. Vancouver in 1972, where he attended Handsworth Secondary. He later attended UBC, where he achieved a B.A. before earning his LLB. After attending UBC, Stuart entered the financial industry earning the professional designation, Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. Stuart was employed with Canaccord Genuity as a compliance manager before his role as Vancouver manager, Business Conduct Compliance at IIROC (Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada) until 2013. He was passionate about the outdoors, beginning in his youth with the YMCA, as well as working Summers onboard private yachts. He was fond of skiing the local mountains, traveling, and had a passion for art. His quick-witted, dry humour entertained us all, and it is with heavy hearts we say goodbye. He will be surely missed. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations can be made to The Dr Peter AIDS Foundation. A Celebration of Stuart's Life will be held at a later date.
