KASSARIS, Chariclia
Passed away on May 11, 2018 after a difficult but mercifully short illness. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Admitos, her son Panayotis, her daughter Eleni, her beloved daughter-in-law of 25 years Ourania, her grandchildren Stefania, Adam and Admitos. Brother Andreas (Athanasia), sister Anastasia (Marios) and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Chariclia was born on November 3, 1944 in the village of Gourna in Corinthia, Greece. She moved to Athens as a young girl to live with her godmother. There she met her soulmate in 1964. Three years after they were married they moved to Canada in 1969 with their 11 month old son to start a better life. For many years Chariclia and Admitos worked hard side by side to provide opportunities to their children that were not available to them growing up in Greece. Their relationship was one of deep love, respect and friendship that set and enduring example of a loving marriage for all that knew them well. Everything she did was motivated by love of her husband, children and grandchildren. Her greatest moments of happiness in her life came from spending time with her grandchildren and she was extremely proud of the thoughtful and caring young adults Stefania and Adam grew up to be. Most recently she felt blessed to have spent time with the newest Kassaris, baby Admitos, born in March. Chariclia was beloved by her family and friends and will be sorely missed. Prayers to be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas and Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church, 4641 Boundary Rd.
