ARMISTEAD, Alan Brooks
On March 6, 2012, a loving dad and husband, Al, passed away sadly at age 90 in Eagleridge Hospital after failing health. Al was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. He attended Lord Tennyson and Kitsilano schools. He is predeceased by parents Albert and Gladys Armistead, and sister Diane. He is survived by wife of 60 years, Catherine (Rena), twin daughters Aleina Armistead and Arlene Garrah, cousin Ken Brooks, and missed by many other family members and friends. Al served overseas during World War II in the RCAF. He joined the YMCA Trails Club in 1949, where he met Rena. Al retired after 30 years with PGE/BC Rail. Al loved nature, family pets and his talents were playing piano and watercolour painting. We will miss the sound of his laugh, sense of humour and generosity. There will be no service. A Memorial Tea will be held March 19th.
