Daniel MINER

MINER, Daniel Francis "Frank"
February 24, 1945 - November 1, 2012
Frank slipped away peacefully after a heroic battle against pulmonary fibrosis, his partner Sue and puppy Jorja at his side in the comfort of their lake home, as were his wishes. A proud union member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 170 for 48 years, Frank's career took him throughout BC. He was well respected for his work ethic and professional skills. In addition to Sue, left with wonderful memories are his daughter Michelle (Trevor), sons Dan (Heather), Chris (Sarah), and their mom Lynne. Sue's children Scott (Lillian) and Connie (Steve). Proud Grandpa to Candice, Harold, Riley, Linden, Hannah, Anthony, Austin and Hailee, and Pucka-Tank to Kyla, Erica and Mia. Always a twinkle in his eye, he loved us all. Born in Vancouver, Frank grew up throughout BC, wherever his dad's work took the family. Proud of being the "middle child" (ninth of 17) the house was always buzzing with activity. Predeceased by siblings Tom (Sherry), Ted, Fred (Veronica, dec.), Leo, Art (Grace), and Larry, survived by sisters Pat (Vern), Beth, Marg (Larry), Cathy and Noni (Tom) and brothers Bernie (June), Gerry (Linda, dec.), Elmer, Kevin, and Walter. Sue's family mom Helen, brother Don, siblings Ray (Muriel), Carol (Ken). Many nieces and nephews. Work colleges and dear friends. Frank and Sue wish to thank Dr. John Ronald and Hendrik Putter for their care through our journey, also our "lake family" Tom and Lorraine, Gail and Kirk, Jan and Stu, Patti and John. Without the help and support you gave, Frank's wish to remain at home would not have been possible. God bless you all! Remembrances of Frank's life will be held in Vancouver and at our lake home in Spring 2013, all are welcome! Please consider a donation to the BC Lung Association in Frank's memory. The gift of life could be because of you. Cremation entrusted to Sands Nanaimo. "Sweet dreams and all that" my love, thank you for showing me what true love is. Your spirit is with me always, your love surrounds me forever. Forever and Always, Sue.
