Dorothy LAMBERT

LAMBERT, Dorothy (nee Terrett)
June 20, 1916 – December 10, 2012
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mum. Dorothy's life was full. She was so brave. She travelled to Vietnam as a services volunteer shortly after World War II where she met and married the love of her life, Pemberton Lambert. Their children were born in Vietnam before the family had to leave that country, settling in Canada after a brief sojourn in Dorothy's native England. Predeceased by her beloved husband she lived another 14 years with courage, grace and dignity in the face of her loneliness, failing eyesight and, in her latter years, increasingly fragile health. She had a wonderful sense of humour. She will be greatly missed by her children Paul (Ellen), Susan (Hugh) and Zarra. Her grandchildren Keith, Michael, Devon, Ehren, Matthew, and Justin, will cherish their grandparents' memory, especially the visits to their country home in Whonnock. Great- grandchildren Tierra, Victoria, Karina, Anderson Corbin, Quinlan, Christian and Stella will carry Dorothy's story forward into the future. Dorothy's family would like to thank Dr.Siri Willoughby, the staff at Amica Mayfair and Bayshore Home Care for their kind support in the past few years. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at Burquitlam Funeral Home, 625 North Road, Coquitlam at 2:00PM on Monday December 17.
