JOHNSTONE, Edna Marjorie
May 4, 1924 - November 1, 2012
Died peacefully on November 1, 2012 at Victoria Hospice with family by her side. She leaves her husband of 67 years, Daniel; daughter Sally; son Paul; grandchildren, Brett (Melanie) and Courtney; great-grandchildren Haylee and Keegan and her beloved cat Polly. Mum was born in London, England and served with the RAF in the WAAF during the second world war. During that time she "captured a young Canadian's heart" (Daniel) and later followed him back to Canada. Edna who lived in Victoria for the last 50 years was a member of the WAAF Trefoil Guild Warbrides and the Royal Canadian Legion. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Grewal and to the staff at "The Lodge at Broadmead", "Victoria Hospice" and the Royal Jubilee Hospital. A Celebration of her life will be held in Sands Funeral Chapel, 1803 Quadra Street, Victoria on Thursday, November 8 at 11:00 A.M.
