February 4, 1911 - January 20, 2013
Our wonderful, dear Mum has left us just short of her 102nd birthday. She was the youngest child of Elizabeth and James Clark, Jr., a prominent, pioneer family who homesteaded in the Lake District of Manitoba. Predeceased by her husband, Donald in 1967 and son-in-law, Ken Brazier in 2005, she leaves to mourn her five children, Joan Brazier, Bud (Merrily) McLachlan, Audrey (Garry) Best, Barbara Clark and Larry (Anne) McLachlan, 11 grandchildren, 23 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A very special lady who lived her long life graciously, with dignity and a great sense of humour. Her philosophy was "just go with the flow." She will be loved and remembered forever, definitely a hard act to follow. A family gathering will take place later in the year. The family would also like to express their gratitude for the loving care she received as a resident for the last four years at Saanich Peninsula Hospital Extended Care Unit 2. In lieu of flowers, donations would be very gratefully received by the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation, 2166 Mount Newton X Rd., Saanichton, BC, V8M 2B2.
