SIMPSON, George David (Capt.)

He is survived by his son, Gordon (Arlene), two grandsons, Doug and Bob (Karen) and two great-granddaughters, Emma and Clara. George was a Master Mariner who was captain in the North Vancouver City Ferry Corporation from 1943 to 1958 and docked the final sailing. He became a custodian for the North Vancouver School Board until his retirement in 1977. George is fondly remembered for nicknames he gave to pet dogs and cats.
