PETROW, Helen Madeline

It is with heavy hearts we announced the peaceful passing of our mom and grandma at her home in Richmond, BC. Her life began near the township of Viscount in central Saskatchewan during the great North American depression in 1936 on December 7th. In 1956, she married Emil Petrow Sr of Theodore Sask, and raised their family together on the farm in Viscount. Predeceased are her children Walter and infant daughter Rosalie and parents Gustaf and Lena Verschraegen and sister Lillian Hayes. Helen is survived by son Emil Jr. (wife Linda, children Hayley and Erin) of Saskatoon Sask and daughter Janet Petrow (children Ryan (Kim) and Rachelle) of Richmond BC. She will be deeply missed, but shall remain in our hearts and minds forever. A celebration of life was held at Saskatoon on December 7th.
