Our beloved Uncle Hank, passed away peacefully surrounded by his nieces and nephew on October 25, 2012. Henry was born in Prelate, Saskatchewan in 1919 but moved to Vancouver with his family at an early age. It was here where he met the love of his life, his wife Anne. They were married in 1942 shortly after he started his long and illustrious career with BC Forest Products making $.37/hour in Port Renfrew. He and Anne eventually moved to Victoria and then to West Vancouver 42 years ago. Henry remained with BCFP until his retirement in 1983. Although predeceased by Anne in 1984, he continued living at Park Royal Towers until February of this year when he moved to Churchill House in North Vancouver where he thrived on the kindness of the residents and staff . Henry was predeceased by his sisters Regina and Margaret, and brothers Peter, Louis and Rudy . Henry is survived by his many nieces and nephews and will always be remembered as a family man with a generous and loving heart. At Uncle Hank's request, there will not be a service, however you are invited to read more of his life, or leave a personal message of condolence or fond memory at the family's on-line guest book at www.myalternatives.ca.
