Jeanette Adelle Ferguson

Jeanette Adelle Ferguson August 4, 1918 - December 7, 2012 With sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, Jeanette Ferguson, predeceased in 2009 by her beloved husband of 63 years, Leslie A. Ferguson. Left with cherished memories are: her 5 daughters Nancy (Jim Lorimer), Carole (Barry Berman), Janice (Terry Whinery), Beryl (Bill Carruth), Lorna (David Evans); 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Born in Fort William, Ontario, the middle of 8 children, Jeanette met her husband-to-be in Port Arthur and lived most of her adult years in Manitoba before coming to Vancouver. Jeanette was a spirited, independent woman who loved life. She was introspective with a deep spirituality that saw her through the good times and bad. She sang beautifully and had a quick sense of humour that was enjoyed by many. Her unconditional love for her family and the happiness she brought into our lives will be her legacy.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 18 at 10:00 am at St Josephs Catholic Parish, 140 Moody Street, Port Moody. Jeanette will be laid to rest with her husband in Port Coquitlam Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
