John JONES

JONES, John Henry "Jack"
Born in Saanich, BC on May 29, 1921, passed away in Langley Memorial Hospital November 8, 2012. Predeceased by wife Eileen and daughter-in-law Marti. Survived and sadly missed by children Bevin (Barbara), Brian, Trevor (Cynthia), Mavis (David), 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. At the outbreak of WWII, at age 18, Jack volunteered and served in England, Italy, France, Holland and Germany with the Canadian Army. While posted in Sussex, England, he met Eileen and they were married in 1943. After returning to Canada the family resided in Richmond. Jack and Eileen founded Eijac Kennels and moved to Mission in 1972 to raise Newfoundland dogs. Jack was a member of the ILWU.
