After a workplace accident which required her to change careers, she decided to follow her mother and sisters to the West Coast, finding her way to Ladner BC after a cross-country drive with Ryan and her beloved lhasa/yorkie Misha. Kathie quickly settled in, and Ladner soon became her home. After she and Ross were introduced at Patricia's wedding, the die was cast. They enjoyed too few years together enjoying their cats and dogs and connections with family and community. A private family service was held at Delta Funeral Home in Ladner October 18.
