BEAUDRY, Lucy - (Mama Lucy, known to her Air Canada family)
Was born October 9, 1940 in Eli, Manitoba and passed into a better life in the early morning on 21 November 2012. She has been predeceased by her parents, Adelard (1959) and Corinne (1978): her sister, Claudette (2001): and Vern Flewelling - Lucy's husband (2002). Missing her and left to mourn are her brothers: Ubald - Elii, Manitoba, Ed - Enderby, B.C., and Raymond - Kamloops, B.C. She will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews in Alberta, Australia, B.C., California and Manitoba, as well as many, many cousins near and far. Mama Lucy travelled the world extensively while working for P. Lawson Travel in Winnipeg and Toronto, and in her over 29 years with Air Canada / TCA as Customer Sales and Service Agent in both Montreal and Vancouver International Airport. She will be remembered by many for her amazing looks, her French Canadian accent, playing baseball, bowling and golfing with the Air Canada Recreation Association in many different cities around the world. She was a woman who truly LOVED her single malt scotch and a good meal, prepared by the best chef - HERSELF. Rest in peace my Friend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her remembrance to her place of residence since June 2011 - Finnish Home Facility, 2288 Harrison Drive, Vancouver, B.C. V5P 2P6. Many thanks to the staff at the home for their care and attention to Lucy over the past 15 months. A Memorial Service to celebrate Lucy's life will be held on December 13, 2012 at 11:00 am at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver.
