McCALLUM, Malcolm James
March 11, 1925 - March 1, 2013
Born in Keremeos, BC, he grew up in Vancouver with older brother Duncan. Malcolm leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years Phyllis; sons Bill (Barb) and Ron (Audrey); grandchildren Ashley (Paul), Michelle, Cortney, Meghan (Bill), Katelyn, Kiara, Tyler; and great- granddaughter Sophia. Malcolm passed while still living in the home he built. He served in World War II and as a Burnaby Firefighter, retired as Assistant Chief after 38 years of service. Malcolm had a full and adventurous life as an avid outdoorsman. He was an extremely skilled handyman and always willing to help others. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, March 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at The Firefighters' Club, 6515 Bonsor Avenue, Burnaby. In memory of Malcolm, donations to the Alzheimer Society of BC are welcome.
