Peace is with our Great-Grandpa Bob "De Pa," who passed away on Christmas Day at the age of 82. Predeceased by his wife Jessie in 2009, and survived by stepchildren Linda (Al), Leigh, Deborah and Victoria Bordignon; grandchildren Alexa (Alan), Marnie (Dennis), Rodrick, Christina, Vincent and Christopher; and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn and Nicola Easton, and baby Sarah Berka. Robert was a quiet man with a big heart, a great wit and incredible Scottish flair. He always enjoyed life his way. After serving in the Korean War, merchant navy, and a long-standing career with Seaspan International, he and Jessie became active retirees with the Kennedy Senior Centre Lawn Bowling and Bridge Clubs in Delta, BC. Both Robert and Jessie were regular visitors to the centre, where they were best known for their expertise as dance partners and explorative road trips in their beloved RV "Chitty." Robert spent the last part of his life at George Derby Centre in Burnaby, BC. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at George Derby, and the Royal Columbian Hospital. A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Robert's life.
