Sheila ADAMS

ADAMS, Sheila (St. Louis)
February 26, 1925 - November 15, 2012
Sheila passed away cradled in her daughter's arms at Eagle Ridge Manor. She is survived by her daughter Maureen St. Louis and her grandson Liam St. Louis. She was predeceased by first husband "Louie" St. Louis and her second husband George Adams. She was born in Manchester, England and grew up in the heart of London. Sheila, with her second husband, successfully owned and ran a number of rooming houses in the downtown eastside, Robson and Seymour streets. Once retired she settled in Dundarave and began to frequent Vancouver flea markets buying and selling jewelLery and collectables. With her flaming red hair, fashion sense and quick wit she was known by many. A special thank you to the nurses and care aids at Eagle Ridge Manor, especially Irene and Roxanne whose compassion eased her journey. "Gone are the eyes that watched me grow, the eyes that were able to see into my soul. Together we climbed mountains and danced in the rain. Forever in my heart Mama, until we meet again." Her daughter will return her to her beloved London. A memorial will be held at Eagle Ridge Manor in January 2013. Donations to Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation are welcomed.
