Suzanne Margot Mackenzie

MACKENZIE, Suzanne Margot
November 19, 1965 - November 12, 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter and sister, Suzanne Mackenzie. Suzy grew up in North and West Vancouver but at the age of 17 she decided that there was a bigger world out there and she was determined to discover it. After graduating from the University of Toronto with a degree in Economics she decided to make Toronto her home. It was here that she met Sean Danby, the love of her life. Sean and Suzy continued to explore the world. She had a successful career with Flight Centre which encouraged her to pursue her passion for traveling. She had an adventurous soul, enthusiasm for life, sense of independence and generous spirit. Suzy was always open to learning new things and gaining new experiences. She never left a door unopened. Her love of learning and people took her down the counseling path as she became a Gestalt Therapist. Suzy put up a valiant fight with her battle of cancer, never complaining and showing tremendous strength. She had a smile that would light up a room that stayed with her right until the end. Her final days were spent in her home surrounded by her family and her many friends who admired and loved her. Suzy is survived by her parents Joyce and Bud Mackenzie, her husband Sean Danby, her sister Jodi Evans (Brian) and brother Brian Mackenzie (Annie), her nieces Rachel, JJ, Jaylene and nephew Tyler. She will be deeply missed and always loved. A Memorial Service will be held in Toronto and in the new year in Vancouver.
