Thomas George Wright, 66, of Jasper, Alberta passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 9th, 2013. Tom was born in Calgary, Alberta on May 19, 1947 to Thomas Albert Wright and Helen Lorraine Burkholder. He was predeceased by both of his parents. Tom is survived by his only sister, Sandra Lorraine Wright (Gary Hanson) of Maple Ridge, British Columbia; his niece, Courtney Anne Komonasky of Vancouver, British Columbia; and many friends and family who loved him dearly. Tom fell in love with Jasper and called it home for over 40 years. He was an active member of the community involved in the Jasper Rotary Club, Jasper Park Chamber of Commerce, Jasper United Church and the Summit Singers community choir among many others. Tom was a peaceful, loving, kind and generous soul. His love of people, geology and cooking inspired him to create Jasper Rock and Jade, which was his pride and joy for over 34 years. His smile, good will and positive attitude will be missed by the many hearts he touched. A bright light has gone dark and a truly decent man has moved on. The family wishes to invite you to a Celebration of Tom's Life on Sunday, July 21st at the Jasper United Church at 2pm. Cremation has taken place.
