Wilbert Prentice

Wilbert Prentice Dec 16, 1915 - Jan 28, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather Wil Prentice in Langley. The last of his generation, Wil was predeceased by his wife Bette in 2010 and by four brothers and one sister. He is deeply missed by his children Peter (Danielle), Christine (Rick) and Jamie (Pam) and seven grandchildren. A long time resident of New Westminster, Wil served in the RCAF in India in World War II and was employed by the City of Burnaby for almost 30 years, much of that time as manager of the data processing department. He volunteered for many years as a valued member of the NWSS Band Auxiliary. He loved his family, singing, a good game of cribbage and carving the turkey at many a family gathering. He was a gentleman amongst gentlemen. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on February 16, 2013 at Sharon United Church, 21562 Old Yale Road in Langley. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Salvation Army in Wil's name would be appreciated.
