Sinclair Davis Healy October 3,1925-March 14, 2017 Clair was born and raised in Moncton, NB. He attended Mount Allison University before marrying Rachael McLean in 1950. Following his graduation in Fine Arts , they moved to Fredericton and enjoyed many exciting years there. Three children and ten years later, a Masters at Columbia and Post Graduate at the Slade School of Art in London, the family jetted west to Vancouver in 1960, moving into their Crown Street home in the summer of 1961. Clair spent the remainder of his career at UBC in the Faculty of Education teaching Painting and Drawing. A second sabbatical in England provided more inspiration and travel. Clair practiced his artistic talent via work in his studio, throughout the Pacific Northwest, the Maritimes, and Europe. Survived by sister Janet Robb, his daughters Anne (Ron) and Jennifer (Ron) and son Peter (Janet). Much loved by his grandchildren Brian(Ashley), Jonathan, Jeffrey(Michelle and great granddaughter Isla), Stephen(Taryn), Rachael(Ayman), Stephanie(Jordan) and Caitlin. Sinclair will also be greatly missed by extended family and friends in NB, NS, Australia, Ontario and England. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses involved in his care, as well as the staff at Mulberry, who welcomed him so warmly to his latest home. He will be sorely missed. An informal gathering in Sinclair's memory will be held at Marine Drive Golf Course (7425 Yew Street Vancouver) 2:00-4:00 PM on Saturday April 1, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please forward donations to the charity of your choice.

Our sincere condolences to Jennifer and all the Healy family. I was close friends with Jennifer in elementary school and our parents also became friends. I treasure the beautiful portrait of myself drawn with incredible likeness by Clair and generously given to my parents. A few years ago my Mom gave the drawing to me which hangs proudly in my home. Sadly she also passed away last year. Our thoughts are with you all.

Dear Peter, Anne, Jennifer and Family,

We just heard of Clair's passing, and want to extend our sympathy to you. I'm writing on behalf of Kay, John and me. I remember a lovely visit to Vancouver to visit our "Vancouver Cousins" and having a great time with your parents and all of you. Clair was always full of fun and great humour. Kay fondly remembers many Cousins Parties with Clair and Rachel in attendance. I have a beautiful painting of Clair's, and I've admired it often throughout the years, and it always makes me think of your Dad. Our thoughts are with all of you at this time.

So sorry to hear of Clair's passing. Miss my chats (usually about Moncton...where I'm from as well) with him almost every morning over coffee at McDonalds when I worked near Marpole. Great great man who will be missed! Condolences to the Healy family.

Sending my deepest sympathy to the Van Healy clan in this time of loss. I will always remember Uncle Clair with a smile and sometimes a huge grin. Memories such as at age 4 and being so excited to see him I barged into the bathroom while he was shaving wearing only baby blue boxers. Mum was to the rescue to scoot me out but no he said and I was invited in with a smile. Many a talk we had after age 4 as well. I am blessed to have know him.
