Ann Hardie Simpson January 4, 1946 - November 1, 2012 Ann (Annie) went to heaven peacefully in the early morning of November 1, 2012 after a yearlong illness. Annie was a very private person but her soul was open to the natural world. Her affinity and sensitivity to the environment was so heartfelt, she had a feel for all God's creatures. A keen world traveller, she explored many corners of the world and experienced the wonders of camping near lions in Africa, to riding camels in India. The sounds of wolves in Yellowstone brought her to tears. Despite her gentle nature, she was fiercely independent, never wanting to follow the crowd. Her knowledge and appreciation of etiquette and properly spoken English defined her as a lady, yet she was always fun loving in an innocent way. She will be missed so very much. Annie is survived by; her life companion, fellow traveller and devoted husband of 27 years Brian (Watts), sister Pat (Csima), brother-in-law Stephen, nieces Andrea and Erica, Brian's brother, Richard and sister-in-law Sharon, and many cousins in England. Annie was predeceased by her parents, James and Muriel (Peggy) Simpson and brother John. Donations in her memory can be made to any animal welfare or environmental charity, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Surrey Hospice Society. A private Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held at our home in Surrey.
