I always looked forward to band and was blessed to have Mr. Buss from grades 7-12 (his retirement year). It always brightened my day to walk into the band room and play a variety of pieces that I’m sure I would never have listened to otherwise. I was saddened to hear of his passing but I’m sure he continues to go “wandering, with a knapsack on his back”
Thank you for the music!

My condolences to his family. Mr. Buss was such a lovely man and a great teacher. I have always cherished my memories of my time in the band room at Elmwood High and making music under his superb leadership. Rest in peace Mr. Buss. You will not be forgotten. A life well-lived. Remembered lovingly for his inspiration and tenacity in directing all of us band students. Oh, the hijinks we subjected him to at home and on the trips. May he be at restful peace. ❤

Mr Buss was THE best teacher I ever had (1971-1976 Elmwood, Winnipeg). Kind, compassionate and he made learning such fun. I'm so sorry for the family's loss. Blessings xxx
