While I didn´t know him during his lifetime, i just walked past Arthur´s bench in Tatlow Park, commemorating his 90th birthday. The description of his character perked my interest and what a joy it was to find out that Arthur continued to live this most excellent life of his for yet another decade!

Having known Arther during the 80's with my wife Hoi-Yin and our first born son Nicholas, we enjoyed Arhtur's love of life and shared many weekends trying out new things to do. An Arthur's quote which I always remembered is " Life really started for me after I retired in my fifties ". Dearest Arthur, the Chan family will miss you much but you can never be gone from our thoughts.

Ted, your Dad bore a remarkable resemblance to mine. That, if you recollect, resulted in much mischief being visited upon my Dad in relation to Chinatown eateries. But, despite protestations to the contrary, I think, at the end of the day, that my Dad took it in the humour by which it was intended, by yours. After all, your Dad was always a " fun " guy !
I represent all members of my family in extending condolences to you and yours.

Our prayers and condolences to the Lipman family. My husband and I met Arthur a few years ago when we bought his 1962 gold Thunderbird. We were saddened to hear of his passing and remembered the few hours spent with him that day.He graciously showed us around his home and I admired the beautiful furniture purchased from around the world. He also spoke of his family and we saw today
the picture of him with his beautiful granddaughter in the Sun. On a cloudless day we take "the Bird" to White Rock beach and get a lot of "thumbs up"from old and young alike!Next time we'll do it in memory of Arthur.Shalom

Arthur was a cultured, gentle man, intelligent and also loved intelligent women. Must have...he once gave me an "A" for writing! eh.
